Writing articles (copy) using our 20-25 minute video blogs

Are you able to write effective copy from a recorded video interview? If so, please read on. We are looking to hire a copywriter for an ongoing project with weekly work assignments. An ideal candidate would be able to produce an effective article of 600-1000 words from a 20-25 minute interview-style recorded video.


Are you a good fit for this job? 

Our content is education-based and the articles accompanying our videos need to be easy to read, grammatically correct, with proper punctuation, written in American English. As such, we are looking for a native speaker of American English. To be successful the ideal candidate will also have experience writing educational content for US-based professionals or academia.


How does it work? 
We’ll share a video and a ‘topic brief’ covering this week’s topic and your job is to write an article that would accompany the video in a blog post. You would write, edit, and submit an article that captures both the concept and the spirit of the video interview. Your writing needs to go beyond “show notes” or a simple transcription.
The article needs to be effective as a standalone resource as well as being coupled with the video. We would set and agree on specific turnaround timing for the weekly article production. 

What sort of content is it? 
We are an IT company serving Architecture, Design, and Engineering firms.
Our weekly video series focuses on educating the industry on how to run a more effective business by utilizing technology. 

Who is our ideal reader? 
Our ideal viewer/reader is an owner or a decision-maker of an Architecture/Design/Engineering firm with 10-100 employees. 

Compensation.

We are offering $75 per finished article. The articles are published weekly.
