In the ancient city of Ujjain, a magnificent throne made of 32 intricately carved statues stood in King Vikramaditya’s grand palace. The throne, said to be blessed by the gods, possessed mystical powers. It was believed that whoever sat on it would gain unparalleled wisdom and the ability to make just decisions.

One day, a young prince from a neighboring kingdom sought an audience with King Vikramaditya. He had heard of the legendary throne and wished to learn the secrets of ruling with fairness and wisdom. Impressed by the prince’s curiosity, Vikramaditya invited him to his court.

Before the prince could sit on the throne, one of the statues came to life and stopped him. The statue introduced herself as Vidya and revealed a condition: only those with a pure heart and righteous intentions could sit on the throne. She then began narrating a tale of Vikramaditya’s past.

Vidya told of a time when Vikramaditya, disguised as a commoner, ventured into the forest to resolve a dispute among villagers. His impartiality and courage in delivering justice impressed the gods, who blessed him with the throne. She explained that each statue represented a virtue Vikramaditya practiced throughout his life—kindness, courage, integrity, and wisdom.

Hearing the tale, the young prince realized that greatness lay not in possessing the throne but in embodying its virtues. He thanked the king and returned to his land, inspired to lead with fairness and compassion.
