Social Media Video Editor (Long & Short form Content) Part time or Full Time

We are seeking a talented and experienced Social Media Video Editor with a passion for soccer to join our team on Upwork. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in editing sports content, specifically soccer, and be proficient in creating engaging short-form reels from pre-recorded long-form videos. This role requires expertise in Adobe Premiere and other web-based editing platforms, as well as the ability to schedule content on our preferred platform.

Responsibilities:

Edit pre-recorded long-form soccer videos into engaging and dynamic short-form reels.
Generate high-quality, captivating video content for social media platforms.
Organize and manage video folders for reels and schedule content as per the provided calendar.
Ensure all edited videos maintain high-quality standards and align with our brand guidelines.
Collaborate with the content team to ensure timely delivery and scheduling of video posts.
Communicate effectively in English, both written and verbal, to understand project requirements and provide updates.
Deliver fast turnaround times for video clips and scheduled posts.
Requirements:

Proven experience in editing sports content, particularly soccer, with a portfolio showcasing your work.
Proficiency in Adobe Premiere and other web-based video editing platforms.
Strong understanding of social media platforms and the ability to create content tailored for different channels.
Excellent English communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently and meet tight deadlines.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Creative mindset with the ability to generate innovative ideas for engaging video content.
Basic knowledge of video formatting and compression techniques for various social media platforms.
Preferred Qualifications:

Evaluation Process:

As part of the evaluation process, shortlisted candidates will be given a file containing clips and detailed directions. You will need to create a reel based on these directions and submit it within one day. This will help us assess your editing skills and ability to follow instructions.
