Project Planning for Manufacturer

The scope of this project is to create an Excel or programming method to keep track of the items ordered by my customer. Just to give you a brief idea on my company's manufacturing process flow, my customer will first launch a purchase order, then my team will issue a work order into the store department. At the store department, the store PIC will check if the particular work order has sufficient material.






If the material is insufficient, the PIC will buy them from my material supplier, conversely, the work order will be released into production. After production, it will then be transferred to the packing department and finally deliver to our customer.

Because the work order is not computer recorded, I will always have to go dig the work order myself to make sure it has been successfully delivered to my customer. I find it very tedious and sometimes it will be left somewhere at a random department which therefore being forgotten by the operators and resulted in late delivery.

I wish to have Excel to have better control of the work orders, for instance, I can immediately know where the work orders are by looking at Excel alone.
