The Helping Centre is a community-based organization dedicated to providing support and resources to individuals in need. To better serve a diverse population, we aim to translate our informational materials, website content, and outreach communications into multiple languages. This will ensure that our services are accessible to everyone, regardless of their primary language.

Project overview

Translate Informational Materials:Brochures, flyers, and pamphlets that explain the services provided by the Helping Centre.Instructional guides and manuals used by staff and volunteers.Translate Website Content:All web pages, including service descriptions, contact information, and FAQ sections.Blog posts and news updates.Translate Outreach Communications:Email templates and newsletters sent to clients and community partners.Social media posts and advertisements.Languages Needed:SpanishFrenchMandarinArabicRussianAny other languages identified based on community needsRequirements for Freelancers:Proficiency in both English and the target language.Experience in translating community service materials.Ability to maintain the tone and intent of the original content.Cultural sensitivity to ensure translations are appropriate and respectful.Timeline:The project is expected to start in July and complete by the end of September.Specific deadlines for each set of materials will be established upon commencement.Additional Information:The freelancer will work closely with the Helping Centre’s staff to ensure accuracy and appropriateness of the translations.Regular check-ins and updates will be required to ensure the project stays on track.Application Process:Interested freelancers should submit their resume, a brief cover letter, and examples of previous translation work.Selected candidates may be asked to complete a short translation test.
