Design road, sidewalk/pavements, footpaths/cycleways. Calculate radius for a sharp turn.

About this project

Open

All questions that should be answered in detail:
- Design 1km long road, with sidewalk/pavements, footpaths/cycleways on this road stretch.
When you are working with the designing of the road part, there are some lists that you should include in the report, which must be answered very comprehensively. The list that should be included is cross section carriageway, alignment, horizontal curvature, vertical curvature, term, sight, drainage & water management (roadway runoff).
- Which side should the sidewalk be on?
- How much sidewalk/cycleways can be setup separately?
- How much of the established buildings must be removed if a fully separated walkway/cycleway is to be built?
- At the end of the road that you design, there is a small sharp turn to right where the road continues all the way to the next intersection where the project stops. Here you must calculate the correct radius that is best suited for heavy vehicles. Heavy vehicles will drive a lot on this road once the road has been built. So you have to find out the radius that suits best for heavy vehicles in this swing.

*NB: Some of the list are more important than the other so we can discuss what to cut out from this list.
