gostaria de usar seu conhecimento para produzir uma aplicação de calculo de pair trading e disponibilizar na web.
Já tem muito desse material pronto pela internet. Usariamos o yahoo ou google finance que é free.

E as bibliotecas para calculo de cointegração e estátistica. O resto é grafico e firula. Em teoria seria algo rápido, eu que não conheço Python.
