We have a scientific website which distributes a recently developed software for free. We know that Chinese science is very advanced in this field and that many Chinese research groups would certainly benefit from usage of our software. However, we are having a lot of difficulties in promoting it among members of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Chinese Universities and Chinese Research Centers; probably due to the language barrier.

We would like some help in making our website visible to the Chinese scientific community in their social media, such as Baidu, Weibo and WeChat. Success in this work would not be hits to our site, or even downloads of the software, but, rather, citations of our work by Chinese researchers in their scientific articles. That is why we need to target very specific audiences.

And what we are looking for is visibility among researchers and students of our particular scientific area of interest (chemistry). So, we need someone who is fluent in the Chinese language, who knows SEO, and who knows how to position our website so that it can be found by qualified Chinese scientists.

Project overview

The purpose of the project is to make our website visible to Chinese researchers and scientists who could potentially benefit from our recently developed software. So, our goal is not website hits, or downloads, but to make it known to a potentially interested, highly knowledgeable, and sophisticated public. We believe a proper promotion of our software in Chinese social media to our targeted audience, is what we need. Just to clarify, we are a scientific research group - we do not seek profits, or sales, and, therefore, we work on a very tight budget. Any help will be appreciated.
