I am working in a new-born travel agency in UAE. I want to design the best travel experience for my travellers from UAE to some countries in Europe, Asia and Africa.
My vision: To let my customer have a unique selfie photo so to be shared on Facebook.
Customer profile: My customers are basically married couples with average income. On the emotional level, they welcome to visit new places – but due to the high currency exchange between aed and usd + the continues increase in prices prevent them from doing so. Most of these travellers went to east Europe in groups( e.g. Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia ….etc.). It worth mentioning that female/the wife is the key decision maker in the selecting/buying process. ( As usual )
The differentiation: As you know, one won’t sell unless something different is offered. For this reason, I want the itineraries to have different activities that will wow all the family members (specially kids). Let us design the basic skeleton of the itinerary, then in revision (and I wish to have it over google meet or zoom) we can see what to keep and what to remove. I welcome all the ideas as I will have the technology that will to let the customer to add-on activities.
Now, let me direct your focus to the destinations/countries I am wish my customers to visit. As I am taking my first step, I will focus on Slovenia, Austria, Switzerland, Belgium and Korea. I will handle Korea from my side, so the total countries I want to focus on is 4.
In the beginning, we want to make sure that there are Airlines going to these destinations from dxb or auh as direct flight to the above countries. In general, my targeted customers refuse to have a transit, or may be less than 1-hour transit. The local Airlines here are: Emirates Airlines (Depart from Dubai), Fly Dubai (Depart from Dubai), Wizz Air(Depart from Abu Dhabi) and Air Arabia (Depart from Sharjah). Please inform if there are another Airlines goes from dxb or auh to the mentioned countries.
Based on the city of arrival, we will design the experience. For the city/culture experience, we will choose the hotels (4 stars) within 25-35 minutes from the Arrival Airport. For the natural escapes, the hotels (4 stars) within 40-55 minutes will be chosen. I can welcome 3 stars hotels with rating above 4.7/5 rating. If you see that there are unique experiences can be offered but the hotel is more far…please mention.
The components the experience: As I mentioned earlier, I need differentiation. So, I believe we should have a mix between the usual activities any travellers/families is doing in these destinations (museums, river trip, restaurants…etc) and the not-so-usual experiences (e.g. City hidden gems of the city/place, practicing bow shooting…etc). Most of my travellers will welcome a combination of the ordinary activities and not-so-wild-adventures.
In short, we need the experience that cannot be googled. I need my customers to take the different selfie.
Length of Itinerary: My customer can’t stay away for long periods. I believe 5 days is acceptable time frame.
