Javascript / Node Js Developers

Experience
This position is only open to seasoned software engineers with two year’s proven industry experience working with Javascript, Node js and sql and a high degree of expertise in the field of bringing scalable, enterprise solutions to market.

Rol
We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer contractor to join our development projects.  Javascript engineers must have deep technical and business experience, customer insight and the clear point of view which comes from first-hand experience with large scale industry solutions.

Our Software Engineers will implement mission critical business services and processes for Eveve.  They will have the opportunity to be involved in designing and creating compelling and cutting-edge systems for our worldwide operations and clients.  The candidates will work on systems such as telos and evpos with considerable scale, serving thousands of restaurant clients and millions of diners each year.



Application development will be principally in Javascript, Node js and sql and an authoritative understanding of all three is critical for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

End to End engineering (from design to supporting production)
Accountability for the service
Front line support for clients
Design and Develop secure, maintainable, accessible, and scalable large, enterprise systems - ensuring that the services and the components are: well-defined and modularized, secure, reliable, diagnosable, actively monitored and reusable.
Server maintenance and support
Carry out quick technology “spikes” (or proofs of concepts) to create value in new features and service.
Design, develop, test, deploy, and monitor large scale distributed software services and solutions
Create enterprise grade systems through proven design patterns, designing well-defined interfaces across multiple components, rigorous code reviews, object-oriented programming, keeping agile release, maintainability, monitoring and alerting in mind.


Leveraging data and telemetry to make decisions and driving feedback into systems design and implementation.
Influence product & system technology roadmap aligning to business outcomes
Drive improvement of automated test coverage for services, organizes by implementing integration tests, functional tests, performance tests and proactively resolve problem areas.
Gain a working understanding of Eveve businesses and collaborate with mentors and leaders in order to contribute to cohesive, end-to-end experiences for our users.


Stay educated on existing, emerging technologies and do POCs to evaluate technology fits for customer needs.
Front end projects such as web and user interface design

Skills

A computer enthusiast, with natural curiosity about the technical workings of PCs, tablets, hardware etc.

Ability to use other programming languages such as Java, vb, perl, python, ruby, rexx etc. An advantage

Experience in SQL

Time keeping.

Excellent knowledge of networking, particularly diagnosing connectivity problems required

Knowledge of HTML, Nodejs [html, css] an advantage

good knowledge of dns, domains and ip required

experience of working with servers via remote access an advantage

experience of technical support of non-technical users an advantage

excellent, in-depth knowledge of windows 10 at a technical level required.  Industrial experience with Windows Servers a major advantage.

Knowledge of Linux and/or Android would be a major advantage
