Project Overview

We require a B2B eCommerce website designed to streamline the ordering process for our food catering services. The website will allow multiple users from different client companies to log in, view a catering menu, and place orders for their respective locations. There are 22 locations in total. The primary function is to track and manage orders efficiently, with order details sent via email to the venue. There is no need for an online payment system as invoicing will be handled monthly.

Key Features and Requirements

User Authentication and Management

User registration and login system.
User roles (e.g., Admin, regular user) with appropriate access permissions.
Ability for each client company to have multiple users associated with it.
Catering Menu Display

A simple, easy-to-navigate menu displaying our catering options.
Menu items should be categorised for easy browsing (e.g., Breakfast, lunch, beverages).
Each menu item should have a detailed view with descriptions, ingredients, and options (e.g., Quantity, special instructions).
Order Placement

A straightforward ordering process with a clear call-to-action to place an order.
Users should be able to select menu items, specify quantities, and add special instructions if needed.
An order summary page to review items before finalising the order.
Order Management

Orders should be tagged with the user's location out of the 22 available options.
Each order should generate an email containing the order details, sent to the designated venue for that location.
Admin interface to view, track, and manage all orders across different locations.
Notifications

Email notifications to users confirming order placement and details.
Automated email notifications to the venue with detailed order information.
Reporting and Invoicing

Basic reporting capabilities to view order history by user and location.
Exportable order reports for invoicing purposes (handled externally).
Design and Usability

Clean, professional, and user-friendly design.
Responsive layout to ensure usability across various devices (desktop, tablet, mobile).
Easy navigation with a focus on usability and quick access to menu and ordering functions.
Technical Requirements

Platform: Preference for a widely supported platform (e.g., WordPress with WooCommerce, Shopify, or a custom solution) that allows for easy maintenance and scalability.
Hosting: Recommendations for reliable hosting solutions.
Security: Ensure data privacy and secure handling of user information and orders.
